11 day Safari – Mobile luxurious camping safari using private campsites – Fully inclusive camping
This safari starts in Maun in Botswana and ends at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The service is exceptional: experienced bush cook and assistants for the building up and taking down of the mobile camp. The use of spacious tents with camp beds, mattress, duvet, pillow, towels, soap, anti-mosquito spray, chemical toilet inside and bush toilet and shower en-suite. Every group is limited to 12 participants and children under 15 can join on request (if other clients to approve ). Day 1 Maun – Lodge Your guide will meet you at the Maun International Airport and transfer you to a lodge just outside Maun at ± 15:00. For those who want, a one hour game flight over the Okavango Delta can be organized at own expense. You will have the time to shower and relax at the lodge with a drink before dinner is served. Day 2 & 3 Moremi Game Reserve We rise early and after coffee/tea and a healthy snack we board our game viewing vehicle. A game drive takes us into Moremi where we set up camp for the next 2 nights. An extensive lunch is served en route or in camp. The late afternoons are set aside for game viewing until sunset, when we head back to camp. After Dinner is served, there is time to chat and relax around the campfire. Day 4 & 5 Khwai river We move camp to the Khwai River area where we stay the next 2 nights. A relaxed game-drive takes us to North Gate where we have lunch at the picnic spot. Arrival in camp around 2 PM. Time to shower and then we make a first drive along the river to see the many animals who come there to drink. The next day we make a morning mokoro trip and the afternoon drive ends at a sundown spot where we wait till dark has set in, after which we make a night-drive back to camp. Arrival around 8 PM followed by dinner. Day 6 & 7 Chobe National Park Savuti area. An last game drive along the Kwai River after which we travel north via the Mababe Depression to Savuti, our camp for the next 2 nights. The Savuti area with wide open grassy plains and scattered rocky outcrops is the perfect area for large herds of elephants, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest and giraffe families, not forgetting the many predators that follow them. Early morning and afternoon game drives are planned for the day with brunch and time to rest up in between. Day 8 & 9 Chobe National Park, Chobe River front. We make a last game drive in the area before heading north through Mhopane and teak forest and the Chobe Forest Reserve to arrive at the Chobe River where we set up camp for the next 2 nights. Our time here is spent game viewing along the banks of the Chobe River, the drinking station for large herds of elephants and buffalo. The area has one of the densest animal populations in Africa. The second day we plan a daytrip : game-drive along the Chobe till Kasane where we’ll have lunch followed by a 3 hour boat excursion in the park before heding back to camp. Day 10 Victoria Falls After breakfast we head sedately out of the Park on a game drive following the Chobe River. We will part from you at the Kazungula border post at 10 AM ( time depending on transfer company ) where your transfer to Victoria Falls waits. A’Zambezi River Lodge is in a great location on the border of the Zambezi NP. Afternoon free for visiting the falls or any chosen activity. Day 11 Victoria Falls Free morning for activities or market visit, transfer to airport at 10.45 for fly out |
