Tour itinerary Pick Up Details:
Day 1 & 2 ( pre-safari ) Victoria Falls Arrival at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe where you stay in a luxury hotel for 2 nights. During the days ample time to visit the famous falls and visit the marketplaces. There is also possibility for a helicopter flight over the falls or a visit to a local village. Day 3 (day 1 safari) Kasane – Lodge Transfer to the Botswana border where your Botswana guide will meet you. After a relaxing brunch or lunch and a short briefing by your guide we head for a boat trip on the Chobe river where large amounts of game come to drink in the late afternoon. At the lodge you will have the time to shower and relax with a drink before dinner is served. During dinner you’ll have a complete explanation by your guide about the rest of the tour and you can ask all you want to know about the country and its people. Day 4 Elephants Sands After breakfast we head South to our first camping spot: Elephants Sands, where we make a bushwalk in the late afternoon, a perfect moment to explain and see the little things in the bush that are hard to notice from a vehicle. Dinner at the campfire with view on the many elephants coming here to drink. Day 5 Nxai Pan We head West to the Nxai Pan National Park where we can meet the Kalahari species: black mane lions, suricate, honey badger, springbok, oryx, … On the way we make a detour to visit the famous Baines Baobabs, a natural cathedral at the edge of a large saltpan. Day 6 Maun - Lodge We leave after a last short game-drive and arrive for lunch in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango delta. For those who want, a flight over the Okavango Delta can be organized at own expense. Time to relax and shower before dinner in the lodge Day 7, 8 & 9 Moremi Game Reserve We rise early and after coffee/tea and a healthy snack we board our game viewing vehicle. A game drive takes us to the Khwai river, famous for its big concentration of game, where we set up camp for the next 3 nights An extensive lunch is served en route or in camp. Early mornings and late afternoons are set aside for game viewing until sunset, when we head back to camp. After dinner is served, there is time to chat and relax around the campfire. During our stay we make a daytrip to the Xakanaxa area of Moremi which gives an idea how the centre of the delta looks like Day 10 & 11 Chobe National Park Savuti area. An interesting game drive takes us away of Moremi, traveling north via the Mababe Depression to Savuti, our camp for the next 2 nights. The Savuti area with wide open grassy plains and scattered rocky outcrops is the perfect area for large herds of elephants, zebra and wildebeest and giraffe families, not forgetting the many predators that follow them. Early morning and afternoon game drives are planned for the day with brunch and time to rest up in between. Day 12 & 13 Chobe National Park, Chobe River front. We make a last visit to the waterhole before heading north through the Mopane and Teak bush from the Chobe Forest Reserve to arrive at the Chobe River where we set up camp for the next 2 nights. Our time here is spent game viewing along the banks of the Chobe River, the drinking station for large herds of elephants and buffalo. The area has one of the densest animal populations in Africa. Day 14 Kasane to Livingstone After an early breakfast we head out of the Park. We will part from you at the airport for all further transfers, at your hotel or other chosen destination in Kasane or bring you to the Kazungula border where we met in the beginning for a transfer back to Victoria Falls.
